Privacy Policy

The short version: I only collect what I need to send you my free guide and emails (your first name and email address). I never sell your data. You can unsubscribe or ask me to delete your data at any time by writing to office@thesarahjensen.com.

This policy is written to meet the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/nDSG) and, where it applies to visitors from the European Union, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It also applies to visitors from the rest of the world.

2. What data I collect

• When you sign up for my free guide: your first name and email address, the date and time you signed up, and technical details needed to confirm the sign-up (such as your IP address).
• When you visit the website: my website host automatically records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device, the page you visited and the time of your visit. This is needed to show you the site and keep it secure.
• When you email me: your email address and whatever you choose to write to me.

3. Why I use your data

• To send you the Nap-Time Guide and follow-up emails with tips, stories and offers related to building an online income (based on your consent when you sign up).
• To run, secure and improve this website (based on my legitimate interest in a working, safe website).
• To answer your questions when you contact me.

You can withdraw your consent at any time with the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email, or by writing to me.

4. Who helps me (service providers)

• The Home Business Academy (HBA) hosts this website and my email list. Your sign-up details and website visit data are stored with HBA, which is based in the United States.
• Google provides the fonts on this website (Google Fonts) and spam protection on my sign-up form (reCAPTCHA). For this, your browser connects to Google servers, which can transfer your IP address and browser information to Google, including to the United States.

Some of these providers process data outside Switzerland and the EU, including in the United States, where data protection laws may be less strict. Where required, these transfers rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or the provider’s certification under the applicable data privacy framework.

5. Affiliate links

Some links on this website and in my emails are affiliate links to HBA. If you click one, HBA can see that you came from me (through a code in the link) so I can be credited for any purchase. What happens on HBA’s website is covered by HBA’s own privacy policy.

6. Cookies

I don’t use advertising or analytics cookies on this website. Technically necessary cookies may be used, for example by the spam protection on the sign-up form. If I add analytics or advertising tools in the future, I will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

7. How long I keep your data

I keep your name and email for as long as you stay on my email list. When you unsubscribe, I stop emailing you and delete or anonymise your data, unless I have to keep a record (for example, proof that you once agreed to receive emails). Technical website data is kept only as long as needed for security and running the site.

8. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask me to:

• tell you what data I have about you and send you a copy;
• correct data that is wrong;
• delete your data;
• stop or limit how I use your data, or object to it;
• give you your data in a common digital format.

Just email office@thesarahjensen.com. I don’t sell your personal data, and I don’t share it for others’ advertising.

If you think I’m not handling your data correctly, you can complain to a data protection authority: in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC/EDÖB); in the EU, the authority in the country where you live.

9. Children

This website is meant for adults. I don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has signed up, please let me know and I will delete their details.

10. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy when my website or the law changes. The latest version is always on this page, with the date at the top.
